Russia's aluminum infrastructure project has completed 85% of the Dian-Dian bauxite project in Boké region of Guinea. In April 2018, the company started to operate the mine, producing 3 million tons a year and 6 million tons by 2019. The first phase of RUSAL invested in a total capital of 220 million U.S. dollars, mainly for the construction of railways, highways and river Taressa wharfs, mining areas and camps.


DIAN-DIAN ALUMINUM ORE IN BAKAI PROVINCE, GUINEA PROJECT:


The Dian-Dian bauxite is located in the province of Boké, in the REGIONDEBOKE region of northwestern Guinea. The mine is divided into three plots, with a total area of 856 square kilometers, has proven reserves of 564 million tons of high-content aluminum bauxite, aluminum content as high as 65%, is a typical high-aluminum rich ore.


In 2001, Rusal and several governments signed a commercial contract for the development of bauxite in the Dian-Dian area. In 2002, it obtained the franchise rights in the area and signed a mining agreement in 2006.


The region has proven reserves of 564 million tons of bauxite, the potential reserves of 1.3 billion tons, the average alumina content of 48.5%, up 60%, the content of 1.6% silicon dioxide.


In 2013, Rusal and several other mines signed a supplementary agreement in Paris.
