RUSAL's electrolytic aluminum production in 2017 was 3.707 million tons
It is understood that RUSAL's electrolytic aluminum production in 2017 was 3.707 million tons, which is the world's second largest primary aluminum production enterprise besides Weiqiao in China, accounting for 5.8% of global production. At present, the spot of aluminum produced by RUSAL exceeds one-third of the global warehouse inventory that LME is responsible for monitoring and delivery, reaching about 450,000 tons. In addition, Eoin Dinsmore, head of aluminum business at CRU, a British commodity information company, also expects that in addition to China and LME, 1/4 or nearly 1 million tons of global aluminum inventories will be produced by UC Rus. When these figures are added together, the spot value of Russian aluminum in warehouses from Rotterdam, the Netherlands to New Orleans, exceeds 3 billion U.S. dollars.
