Aluminum coil processing technology

Silicon has a corrosive effect on cemented carbide. Although aluminum alloys exceeding 12% Si are generally referred to as high-silicon aluminum alloys, diamond cutting tools are recommended. However, this is not absolute. As the silicon content gradually increases, the destructive power of the cutting tools gradually increases. Therefore, some manufacturers recommended the use of diamond tools when the silicon content exceeds 8%.

Aluminum content of 8% -12% silicon is a transitional region, either ordinary hard alloy, you can also use diamond cutting tools. However, the use of cemented carbide should be used by PVD (physical coating) method, non-aluminum elements, the film thickness of the smaller tool. Because the PVD method and the small film thickness make it possible for the tool to maintain a sharper cutting edge (otherwise cutting the edge sufficiently to passivate to prevent the film from growing abnormally at the edge) , While the film material containing aluminum may make the blade film and the workpiece material affinity to destroy the film and the tool substrate combination. Because the hard coating is mostly aluminum, nitrogen, titanium compounds of the three may be due to carbide matrix spalling with a small amount of flaking caused chipping.

It is recommended to use one of the following three types of tools:

1. Uncoated ultra-fine particles of carbide cutting tools

2. With non-aluminum coating (PVD) method of carbide cutting tools, such as coated TiN, TiC and so on

3 with diamond tools

Cutter chip space to be larger, it is generally recommended to use 2 teeth, rake, rear angle to be larger (such as 12 ° -14 °, including the end of the tooth angle).

If only ordinary milling surface, you can use the 45 ° main declination of face milling cutter, with special processing aluminum alloy blade, should be better.

Alumina was also used as an aluminum material by electrolysis in the laboratory in 1808 and was used as a building material in the steeple of Washington Monument in the United States in 1884. Aluminum alloys with various metal elements have been widely used in the construction industry In all aspects. Common aluminum plate thickness: Advanced metal roof (and curtain wall) system is generally 0.8-1.2mm (while the traditional general to ≥ 2.5mm).
